Harmony Bay Special Care Unit

Our Special Care Unit, named Harmony Bay, is a safe and secure environment that is designed to meet the needs of those who have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or other related dementias.

We strive to ensure that our Residents live an enhanced quality of life by meeting their social, emotional and physical needs. Our Residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of life-enriching activities such as special events and entertainment, outings in the community, arts and crafts, spiritual, pets, gardening, movies, music and intergenerational
socialization.

Our staff receive on-going training that is specific to dementia/memory care. The staff play a very important role in the Residents lives focusing on their abilities and encouraging the Residents to make independent decisions in their daily tasks and activities.

Our Residents’ families are considered to be partners in care as well. We work together to provide each Resident with the respect and dignity they deserve. Family Nights are hosted on a regular basis giving Residents’ loved ones the opportunity to be involved in the life of the home.
